I recently celebrated my 8-year anniversary working at Medline . After being somewhere for so long , people sometimes can get in a rut , bored of the job , complacent . But that is just not the case for me . I ’ ve had the opportunity to be surrounded by some impressive individuals , working with various teams to bring to life new solutions , this magazine ( it ’ s now been 5 years !) and advisory boards . And now I get to witness a truly , once-in-a-decade product come to market .
Now , I know what you are thinking , every product manufacturer says they have the latest technology or innovation , but our new OptiView ® dressing is truly one of a kind . I was on a video call with a WOC nurse and at the end of the meeting , she opened her drawer and pulled out a sample of OptiView . She said , “ I know I ’ m not supposed to have this , but when will this be out ? I want it !” The pure excitement of this product radiated through the screen .

The second feature was a pleasant surprise for me . We set out to learn about strategies to better work collaboratively across multiple generations . As I sat in on each interview , I was fascinated to find that this cross-generational “ fighting ” may be a fabrication . Each clinician we spoke with talked about their acceptance of the differences of the various generations , and what they have come to appreciate and respect about their multigenerational peers .
