Conclusion The results from this case series support the use of Remedy Specialized Hydrating Serum to treat dry skin-associated dermatoses when used alone or in combination with compression bandages or non-compressive dressings . The cases presented demonstrate a form of wound management that may not necessitate a referral to the wound care clinic and may be accomplished through the outpatient primary care clinical setting .
The practicing clinician emphasized that the Remedy Specialized Hydrating Serum was “ easy to apply ” and in “ just the right amount ” as compared with similar ointments and creams . Applying the appropriate amount of moisturizer helps to ensure adequate hydration of the skin without any waste of the product .
The clinician also suggested that applying a non-greasy water-based moisturizer to the foot may reduce the risk of falling and tripping , particularly for elderly patients . Lastly , the clinician highlighted that , unlike petrolatum or oil-based moisturizers , the use of Remedy Specialized Hydrating Serum did not result in the staining of clothing or compression garments .
